A brief history...

LONDON'S BURNING blazed onto British television screens in 1986 with a two-hour film written by Jack Rosenthal. Following this successful screening, a series was commissioned to be transmitted on the ITV network in 1987.

Since then LONDON'S BURNING has established itself as one of the most successful series on British television. It has hit a ratings high of more than 16.5 million and regularly attracts more than 45% of the available audience.

Although a lot of the regular members of Blue Watch have left and been replaced over the years, one remains from the first series: George (Glen Murphy).

The series has been sold to more than twenty countries and ITV have commissioned 16 episodes of what is still television's hottest series
